ABOUT

Welcome to my website. My name is Asni and I am a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. I have 16 years experience of supporting people to overcome psychological difficulties within the NHS and private sector. As well as being trained in CBT I have undergone extensive additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and am also qualified in Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). I work in an integrative way, combining these skills to create a treatment plan bespoke to the individual. I offer long and short term online therapy to adults aged 18+

I have a specialist interest in working with disordered eating. I am trained in CBT-E; the leading evidence based treatment for eating disorders. I have also trained in Intuitive Eating; a framework of eating that allows individuals to find peace with food and eat in a way that is more responsive to their bodily cues.

Though I have provided this list I find that clients rarely, if ever, fit into neat diagnostic boxes and therefore I don't use protocolised treatments. My approach is to treat each client as an individual and tailor my skills towards their specific needs and goals.

For all insurance work I use an online platform which provides us with a video conferencing tool, access to questionnaires required by your insurance company and invoicing services. Fees can vary from my usual rate as this is set by the providers of this platform. Please do get in touch with any questions you have regarding accessing therapy through insurance.

Please note if using an insurance plan it will be your responsibility to contact your insurer and gain an authorisation code for your treatment. Please do check the budget/number of sessions you are covered for. Any shortfall in payment by your insurance company will need to be covered by yourself.
